Consider making a special gift to the Arna Bontemps African American Museum. There are numerous ways to make an important gift to the ABAAM that may provide benefits to both you and the museum. Giving opportunities include:

• Naming the museum in a living will or trust.
• Designating life insurance policy proceeds or donating an insurance policy.
• Making the ABAAM a beneficiary of your retirement plan, IRA, 401(k), or 203(b).
• Establishing a charitable trust with the ABAAM.

• Transferring real estate to the ABAAM through life estate.

• Promising a gift of a work of art that the museum has agreed to accept.

Special gifts provide you with the opportunity to become a member of the Arna Bontemps Society (benefiting the ABAAM and Bontemps Garden) or the Paul & Marie Bontemps Society (benefiting the Renaissance School of Art and Music). Society members give gifts that last beyond a lifetime, and in return they receive recognition in selected publications, plus invitations to exclusive events, including a complimentary annual luncheon.
Your gift may be used to help build the museum's endowment, or you may designate your gift for a specific area of interest, such as a curatorial department, the Renaissance School of Art, Renaissance School of Music or Bontemps Gardens,
Named Endowments

Outright planned gifts of $25,000 or more allow you to create a permanent named endowment fund to support a specific area of interest. Endowment funds may be named for the donor, in honor or memory of others, creating lasting and meaningful tributes.
Inquiries are confidential and will not obligate you to complete a gift. Please consult your advisers when considering your philanthropic objectives.
