African American Quilt Collection
The Arna Bontemps African American Museum recently received five African American quilts from the Alexandria Museum of Art's permanent collection. The artist(s) and title of the quilts are unknown but were individually purchased in 1980. The Arna Bontemps African American Museum's Executive Director and Board of Directors were on hand to receive the quilts at AMoA's Press Release Thursday, May 31, 2012.
